Updated Papalotl from 4.0 to 4.0.1... changelog:
- Lossless Capture Method... reduced CPU usage to 2% while recording... buuut videos might need special decoders.

In other words:
- Papalotl 4.0.1 now captures lossless but Windows Media Player and other sites can't process the format.

VLC replays them fine though!
Using this for another quick ask: do we have in 2026 ways to dump GBA cartridges for cheap (<100€) in Europe?
I know a couple years ago there were some cool emulator/dumpers in cool plastic boxes like the GB operator, but they're apparently all in America and I've had a bad experience of ordering something then getting unplanned extra fees of the same value as the purchase itself (and I can't thank enough the company for actually going "you know what, we'll handle that for you, but be mindful of that next time you purchase from us", but I won't do that again).
I know there are also readers that aren't in a cool plastic box, which means they're vulnerable and also I would hardly be able to sell it again after having dumped my cartridges, if they still have their saves.

TrustPilot has a mixed bias and cannot always be trusted sometimes when it comes to determining what is and isn't worth buying from. People can write any form of review that does not go through a moderation process, from what I understand, so take them with a grain of salt and do your own research. Otherwise, I have purchased from AliExpress several times and I have had no problems with the items arriving in time. A piece of advice I should give, is to avoid stores with longer digits in their names. Always read the feedback, as it will help you decide whether or not to buy from them. In addition, any reputable store will be rated by AliExpress using their silver-gold ranking system, which will show when you visit their store page.

If you have or can buy a DS flashcard, there’s a popular homebrew app called GBA Backup Tool that can backup roms and saves. Alternatively if you have a Wii and a GameCube to GBA cable I think there’s a backup tool for that too, albeit a much slower one.

Phat or Lite DS and a Slot 1 flashcard + GBA backup tool is really the only thing you'll need.
Most straightforward at that.
Finally found a copy of Star Fox v1.2 at my local retro gaming store, Videogame Adventures.

The slanted front like mine is v1.2, the regular older front is v1.0, and you'll likely never run into a v1.1 because it shipped with bugs and not very many copies were shipped out before v1.2 fixed things.

No idea, I think it's v01...

Yeah last time this cartridge was touched by light I was 10.

Edit: Deleted pics :]

Yep, I see "34" on yours. That's a V1.0
v1.1 has two digits with an "A", and v1.2 has two digits with a "B" (as well as a slanted front shell).
Wow what a bitch:

C:\Windows\system32>pyinstaller --version
'pyinstaller' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\Windows\system32>pip install pyinstaller
Requirement already satisfied: pyinstaller in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\python\python38\site-packages (6.19.0)

It's a Virus, it auto-generates if you delete it.
Found out how to replace FMV's for the KH PC port last night and replaced the ending FMV with a meme, it actually kinda helps because the end credits for KH games are kinda long
