After weeks of speculation and buzz, Microsoft has finally spilled the beans on the Zune HD. Today, Microsoft revealed early details on the new hardware and discussed plans to integrate the product with its wildly popular gaming platform, Xbox 360. According to today's announcement, the Zune HD, which will launch this fall, will feature an operating system based on Windows CE infrastructure, an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) touch screen display, high-definition video support and output via external dock, and a digital radio tuner. Details about the device's data capacity and pricing were not revealed, instead, a considerable emphasis was placed on the forthcoming device's integration with the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Marketplace service.

Xbox integration enough to get you to ditch you touch for a copy cat device?

I hope there are buttons. Thats the main reason i bought the original zune, the fact that it had physical buttons. Touch games are nice, but nothing beats actual dpad and an a and b button or w/e kind.

Is it really going to have OLED? I thought it was still in development.
And I might actually get this if:
1. The HD quality is amazing
2. It's small (iPhone size or smaller)
3. Simple drag-and-drop interface. I hate the iTunes and Zune store bullshit.

Edit: Scratch that about the OLED, I was confusing it with something else.

Nvidia Tegra?

I might actually get this, I saw a sony XEL-1 tv in a sonystyle canada store and it was absolutely amazing! They quality was razor sharp, and it used less power than a light bulb.

sweet im interested in this!
OLED has been out for awhile, my samsung P2 has it
and they already made a OLED TV

Sorry to disappoint but no. I put up the official picture and I see no buttons.

LOL. Dude.

The Samsung P2 does not use an OLED screen. It uses a Backlit TFT LCD Screen. So far, only Cowon S9, Iriver Clix, Sony X1000 series, and the Iriver Spinn uses OLED/AMOLED screens. Samsung mp3 players do not use OLED screens, though their cellphones in Asia do.

If this is going to be like 80 GBs ill buy it.
Because if it does i can store All of Family guy and South Park Episodes and my kickass music on it.

I need something like a 160 to 200 gig.

I'll expect them to be complete douches and release something like the 17gb and 33.5gb zune systems.

If they don't bring this Zune over to Europe, I will bomb them. This will finally replace my old Creative Zen!

I wonder what they mean with 360 integration. I really hope it's going to be xbl arcade compatiblity. I would so love to play Castlecrashers while traveling. :3

Well, it would be interesting to see you play CC without buttons...
