I knew that.

It's THIS part that I don't understand:

We may have to have an activation...?
He may require it so future versions of YSmenu may need to be activated before they work. Perhaps using a serial number, online activation, etc.

Even if he did that, they'll likely just crack it and have it removed. I'm just hoping that if he does include an activation of some sort, he won't make us pay for a key or something.

Yasu has never made anyone pay for his software thus far. I assume from his comments his intention is to keep developers of flash cart clones like the U2 from stealing his work and passing it off as their own.

I'm sure that's the case. Yasu does not want people to pay anything for his software. I contacted him a while ago to ask if he accepted donations. He said he didn't, because YSMenu is nothing more than a hobby for him. Letting people pay for his software is the exact opposite.

I don't think Yasu will do too much about this actually. I think this is meant to scare flashcart developers so they won't use YSMenu code.

I'd imagine that it'd be like his DBBDX software, where you download the file, get a key when you open it, copy/paste it into an input box on his site, and download the key file.

So the only new feature is line breaks?
Yes.

Oh, I never heard of that one. I'm curious how it would work though... If there's just one key that would be enough, right? And if activation via internet is needed that would really suck. Not everyone has internet on their DS.

Is it only me o this version can't load ROMs (not homebrew, just ROMs)?

I'm using a R4 and this is the first time this happens.

Did anyone tested it?

Previous versions are not online anymore.
