why wouldnt u just read from your comp?

Why not play all your video games on the comp.? The DS is portable, I can use it anywhere. Plus reading comic books on the computer monitor just isn't the same. Holding the DS in your hand and laying down on the sofa is almost as good as with a real comic book.

my fav homebrew is on my psp... i use my r4ds for roms... because there isnt any homebrew on the ds worth using.

Bold statement. I disagree.

DS doesn't have as much power as the PSP, but it still has some very useful and fun homebrew.

I can't be bothered naming any and i don't think i need to at this stage. Someone else can for me

well i picked the R4DS for its compatablilty with roms.

and well i tryed some "homebrew" on the ds. moonshell on a r4ds is a joke. games dont launch from the shell and its REALY limited...

dso is ok i guess it would be alot better if the wifi wasnt broken on it. but it is. i mean anything including the wifi lib setup dosnt work on the r4... i didnt get a r4 for homebrew or a ds for homebrew.

Curse of monkey island works in ScummVM on the psp full speed. internet radio on my psp wifi on my psp... ds is kind of week when it comes to homebrew. just saying goto dl.qj.net and look at how much there is for the psp... not just emulators (and there is alot of emus) but tv universial remotes, wardriving tools, gps homebrew map that works with the offical gps device... yah... well back to pokemon diamond... i like the cheat device in my r4 makes pokemon not such a pain.

yah it would be cool if dso worked on the R4 (it dosent) because it has a irc client... and the psp never realy had a full fledged irc client. all it has is AFKIM which works rather well(i wish the ds would use the text input system that afkim uses... its quick

My favorite are:
Warcraft Tower Defense (true many maps are too hard or are too easy but still great fun)

Set (if you know the card game, pattern recognition of sets of 3 but not quite that simple)

Weeds (5 games in 1...great variety from the author who brought of PALIB)

WordUp (could be a commercial game almost....boggle and tetris)

Phidias (great color picker now...when finished painting make sure to blur out the rough edges and then decrease the original size of your drawing and it looks pretty sweet)

lmp-ng (iPod plays mp3s recursively....if you don't understand recursively then you don't need this excellent homebrew then)

I have the ones above DLDI patched for M3/R4 on my page here http://mrbass.org/nintendoDS

Unnamed Puzzle Collection http://omalone.free.fr/puzzles/
And one that I just started playing yesterday is one of my favorites...I think it's same author who brought out the excellent polished Omalone and he's doing various puzzles...I like bridges quite a bit and Light it up (Akari)....the puzzles are generated on-the-fly so it's limitless fun.

I have DSO wifi working just fine on my R4. Make sure your DS wifi settings, IP, etc.. are entered manually and not automatic.
