Gaming Yay or Nay

What do you guys think? I'm looking for a general use laptop. Not for gaming (that's what a desktop is for), but things like netflix, I have some statistical computing software that should be able to run fine (SAS, R, Minitab).

Is the price worth this laptop? Is this overkill for my needs?

Before I clicked this, I had instantly thought of two pony clips that I'd post in response. But alas, your post provides no suitable amount of information.

Considering you don't want to be gaming on it, and want to run some statistical software, I think you should be looking for an Intel-based laptop, rather than AMD. For number crunching, Intel is simply superior to AMD (my dad really puts that to use with his chess analysis program).
EDIT: Plus, AMD CPUs tend to run hotter than Intel equivalents.

Thanks guys, my tax return is saved after all. I'll be waiting a bit before investing in a laptop and the good advice to go with Intel may be useful in the future
