Basically, a DS Homebrew-developing contest. You have to develop your game using their software, XtenDS.

How To Enter said:

1) Reply to this thread with a brief description of your game (including instructions), 2 screenshots (the menu, and then the gameplay) and the game in .nds format

2) You will then be asked by means of e-mail for the .xds file so we can verify that the game was infact created using XtenDS. If additional action files have been created these will also be required.

3) Users can comment on your game and you may make improvements up to 20th April 2008. After that point all entries will be collected and any improvements made will not be considered.

4) Judging will finish on the 28 April 2008 and the results announced on the 29th April 2008.

What you can win ::

Prizes aren't too grand, but it's not really about the prizes...is it?

Of course not.

Its about providing mediocre incentive to try and convince people to make low-quality homebrew using poorly-made autocreation software.

I've tried to use this software before. It didn't work quite the way I was hoping it might. But that may be me on the failure side. I eventually got frusterated enough that I began working with the PALIB examples and tutorials instead...which is a great thing. So..in a round about way this program helped me with my homebrew experiments =X

FUCK YEAH! A BRAND NEW PLAYSTATION!

I had never heard about this XtenDS thing before.. and wtf? They're charging for it!

PAlib is free.. and it's already very good.. I'll pass..

Thats strange---I'd love to get a Playstation 1. or even a memory card. I'm broke and I like collecting

I'm in. I'll see what I can do. I have the XtenDS program and I do have an ideal in mind. Count me in. I think this is a great idea!

Thanks for starting this. Its an incentive to get people interested in GIVING back. Not just taking, taking, taking, taking all the time.

Though I think that taking is great...meh, I'll go find some instructions for XtenDS now....

Screw that second prize, screw the playstaion....
ITS RIIIIIDGE RACER!
*cricket cricket*

Seroiusly though, its only five bucks to register.
Though its a real drag they lock out so much :/
Still its got solid features.
If you can get into its system, why not right?
Not too great for an entry fee though, but lets not think of it that way.

A homebrew dev compo is always a good thing.
Cruddy prizes or not.

Just wish they would allow non registerd entriants too, seems kinda unfair in a way.
Though ya, just five bucks if ya actually like the thing, so not too bad at all.

It costs $5 to enter(to get the software) and the second prize is worth about $6,you may as well just buy one yourself.

Had there been any enteries yet?
I can't see any in the thread.
