yeah, I have two or three better than machinaII, but I got them in Agniratha (monsters level60s).
The 80+ gives less powerful weapons, that's odd.

I didn't know the chests trick, though it's still predetermined items from each monsters. I kill a lot of them so I find all possible items one time or another.

i just played this game this morning and it was TERRIBLE. very boring and mediocre, the battle system SUCKS and requires NO skill. i really dont see what all the hype is about. the game is such a waste of time.

And you played it for... how long? The combat system will require a fair bit on planning further in...
Awesome example here would be WoW... Most classes spent the first 20-30 levels spamming 1 or 2 buttons(and some still do at level 85 in raids..), yet ~10mil people are playing it.

On a different note though. Ive been trying to increase my star rating with Hidden Village, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to do it lol. Any tips? :P

you have to do the side quests , in order to pick up the star rating for the villages .....some people can only be found at night dont forget ...........THIS IS THE BEST RPG EVER , so good infact they need to make an expansion for it

bah Ive done what feels like a ton of sidequests, still only at 1 star rating :(
Guess Ill have to keep searching

And yes, gief expansion lol (although Im not sure how it would work seeing how the game ended)

I'm lv93 and I just killed the big dino Lv98 in Makna forest, and received 175 000 exp
The exp is really good after Lv70, you can at last fight monsters with a lot higher levels than you. I could kill Red named monsters without pain and with a weak team :D

If you have difficulties in Agniratha for the last few unique monsters, I recommend you to go fight some Apes (on the leg, or in Satorl). They will give you 30k+ exp each. They should be white or yellow named by now, and you can fight them one by one. I could kill one with 6 more level than my team without problem.
You need to kill one with exact 5 levels higher to unlock a trophy. I guess the second trophy requires a 10 Lv higher monster.

I found another unlocking skill quest, for shulk this time.
I'll put it in the unlockable list.

Or NOA could re-insert the content that didn't make the final cut for a US release.

/in my dreams

I've updated and completed the Giant's hidden treasure quest #2 on the previous page.

- Go back to a Nopon near the fixed bridge, he will told you to go to archeology level in Nopon town, by night.
- That Nopon ask you to find 3 ancient scripts (you should have 2 or 3 already).
  1. (I forgot where I found the first one, it's in Makna anyway).

Im trying to do this, but the dude in frontier village wont give me any quest :/
Also, I cant find #1 :P

What have I missed?

Maybe you need to complete a little more quests before unlocking it?
I think I had 3 starts for frontier village at that time. (maybe 4 stars?)

There should be enough available quests to achieve 3 stars at that point in the game.
I could unlock it right away when coming back to Makna forest using the ship.

Did the Nopon at the bridge told you about the archaeologist in the village first, but he still don't want to talk to you?

I'm sorry, I really don't remember where I found the first scroll, I picked a lot of things on my first visit without noticing where I was.

edit:
I've placed all my guides in one post. I'm trying to make them look better (I added pictures).
It's still in progress.... I'm at 205H, lv95, and still missing a lot of skills/quests/items/head-to-head :ha:
All members are almost in love with each others.

Edit2:
I need help for two quests!
I need to fight unique monsters since a long time (more than 100H !), but they don't spawn at all

I need :
Gwynry in Magmel ruins.
and
one in Eks lake in makna, by a very hot day. (there's a strange overlay on screen on hot days).

I went to these place a loooooot of time, teleported a looot of time too, sometime it help respawn the unique monster, but this two are just not spawning at all

You can't dodge them manually. (moving is used only to place a good attack, not to defend yourself).
It's like a normal RPG, when the enemy attack he hits you unless you have a good defense/buff/protection skill or equipped item.

To prevent being hit, you need to increase your agility with better equipment and with a lot of Agility's gem (gem limited to +50).
You can also raise your "block" (guard?) percentage with equipment or gems. this one don't escape the hit, but it does 1HP only.

You can also try to equip gem to prevent increasing the hostility for weak members. let Reyn takes all the hits.

There are also some skills you can use to stop being targeted (but it will unlock later).

Later you will be able to see powerful attacks that can kill you, and you will be ale to heal/block it before the enemy make his move.

Regarding Fioras Right skill tree:

You need 3 stars with hidden village, not 5 :)
You also need to complete the quest "The Wilted Flower" from Rizaka

Edit:
Left tree:

Quest: "Battling the Brutes"
Level ~95 (Mobs are level 98)
Starts: Dulland - Refugee camp (Bionis Leg)
Pre-Req: Securing provisions complete
The book/blood of bafalgar complete
A Flower for a Rose Complete

Thank you :)
I added the info the my guide.

I secured the provisions, and got the Rose quest from Dulland, but still haven't kill the lv98 spider.
It's my next step in the game.

Any info where/how I can meet Gwynry in Tephra cave?

I don't remember finding anything on the bridge, but ok :P
Added. Thanks.

Not on the bridge, across the bridge :P, on the area both bridge 2 and 3 leads to.

Im still having issues with the 2nd giants treasure though :(
Ive opened the tomb the 1st time and returned to Lupa, but he doesnt give any followup (collect the oil)
She just keeps saying shes exhausted from all the research of the tomb :(
Do I need even higher stars to get the next part? :s

I really don't know :/
I didn't have to wait when I brought the parchment back to Lupa. (it's great NPC have the same name across translations.)

Maybe you need to complete another mission first?
As I tried to complete all of the available missions, maybe I did the requirement before the tomb's quest.

Edit:
Maybe you forgot to check the coffin to see that it is hard to move?
I forgot to tell to check it after killing the unique monster. I added that to the guide.

Lupa will ask two items, the oil and another one which I forgot (I already had it, so it was auto-completed)

Just found out the answer myself, needed more stars. First part requires 2 stars, second part (oil) requires 3 stars.... :/
Now I just need to find that other item (not the oil)...

Reason I got so sucky rep with everything is because I play new game+, and have just played through the story and skipped all the low-level crap :P
Im starting to catch up on quests though^^
