Anyone that already dumped the 3d Models of Xenoblade Chronicles 3? Sadly models-resource still doesn't have any Models of the game so I thought that it's probably best to ask here.

Okay, so this is what I do:
Edit: The extraction is so much better now!

  1. Dump bf3.ard and bf3.arh from the rom.
  2. Use the old quickbms script of XC2 by PredatorCZ but change "zlib to "zstd" and "bf2" to "bf3". Or this:
    gbatemp.net/threads/need-help-with-xenoblade-chronicles-3-and-bf3-ard.615994/post-9894767
It might takes about 4 hours to extract so PredatorCZ is working on a better extraction tool.
Use XenobladeToolset from PredatorCZ (XenoLib repo) to extract them.
  3. The character models are inside "/chr/ch/" folder, they also store low quality textures. High quality textures are inside "/chr/tex/" folder (need both "m" and "h" folders though). I use noesis script from Turk645's repo on Github to extract models with low quality textures (by renaming folder "/chr/tex/" to something else).
  4. I think the bms script named high quality texture files incorrectly when extracting, so I extract all the textures and find the correct textures manually... To extract all the texture files, I use a tool from XenoLib repo by PredatorCZ on Github, just drag and drop "m" folder into "tex_to_dds.cmd" (make sure that "m" folder are stayed inside "/tex/nx/" folder or else it won't work), the tool will look for corresponding files in "h" folder and extract all textures into "m" folder. Btw the following files are not texture files (or they are but in another format) so the tool will skip them: ff40b9f4, ff47d247, ff5a24d7, ff5c2aef, ff7116d7, ff7398ac, ff848186, ffaa9be0, ffc3a57c, ffd5bb55, ffe494d8, fff9a9fb.
You can also use noesis to convert into another format (eg. fbx).
And I finally got this:

Could you help me out I dont know how to use the quickbms tool, i currently have xenoblade.bms and bf3.ard and bf3.arh. Please let me know what to do and what im missing
Assume you already have the bms script in step 2 (.bms or .txt). Download quickbms, extract, run the 4gb executable file. Select the bms script, open, then select the file to extract (bf3.arh), open, and select the folder to save the files.

I doubt you didn't even try to do anything and just bring up a weird question. Every folder is fine, dude.
I opened quickbms_4gb_files then opened xenobladee.bms
It then says select input archives/file, type so i go to bf3.arh like you said
Then it says output folder which i dont know what to put as

It's the folder that you want to extract the files into. Quickbms is like an extractor program, it asks for the script to know how to extract, the file to extract, and the folder to store extracted files.
And there're many tutorials out there, you can search for them easily, just try and fail and try again and again over and over...
Sorry but I won't answer any simple questions like that anymore.

ok thank you

Also there are few ways to get the ard texture outputs to work correctly. Predator's Xenoblade tool kit should extract it correctly

I really just want the models for the main 6 characters in their regular class outfits in Blender. Is there anyway you could show me how to do it? I don't have any of the files to try and do this or know where I could get the files. Or maybe I could even just pay you to do it lol?

EDIT: nvm I got it lol
