I found this picture - it describes how I feel on your views about xci loading:

A lot of NSP's don't work properly when converted to xci, So this will never be an option. Also the main games nca header is different.
not really the solution, you know that.
is NSP loading possible without install?
the amount of time people spend worrying about this useless thing they could have installed and beaten hundreds of games by now meanwhile they say how it "saves time" man those 5 seconds just installing ONCE vs the multiple times you have to pull out an HDD to hook up, deal with slower read speeds, and hope to hell you don't accidently bump the cord are SOOOOOOOO much better

so TX stole from Ninty? How did they do that?

TX stole code of atmosphère and and tell anybody was theirs, and also uses codes from the original Firmware.

their "load" from USB is almost an installation before run the code, works very similar to the way when you load titles from SD on the Wii, they get copied to the NAND and then executed from there, only what on the switch get copied to SD or NAND which have more space to run it..

Erm...yes. Or why do you think it is illegal? SX OS is illegal to purchase and own. It bundles various keys and copyrighted data that can't be legally shared. And it has known compatibility issues with homebrew, due to its non-standard and proprietary nature.

I meant: how did they obtain that illegal code?

They need to emulate the cartridge slot and in order to do that they need to have copyrighted certificates that are ripped from actual games and the cartridge slot in their emulation code. That's why it's illegal and why Ninty would have any right to take down that kind of code.

Also, XCI loading is way slower by comparison and also costs more battery/power. With the current low SD card costs there is not really a reason to have XCI loading so no one is looking into it because the risk/reward is way to low.

Also also: You can 'kinda' create a similar setup by having a NUT server running on your NAS with all your games there. Then simply install/uninstall the games you need when you have the switch hooked up to the dock via LAN. With the current NSZ format over local LAN the installation speeds are insane and it's really easy to cycle games that way. Are you ever playing more than 5 games at the same time? Probably not so even with mini SD cards it should be doable.
