Microsoft's no stranger to working with TV networks, but according to Reuters they're working on a cable-like online subscription service for the Xbox 360.

It's likely to have come about because of the Google TV threat—however much of a threat it may or may not be, it's likely worried Microsoft.

Nonetheless, it's all good news for us, as more competition means lower prices and better service, with whatever package you've bought into—so even if you don't have an Xbox 360, it'll act as a veritable kick up the bum to other companies. The full details aren't known just yet, as Reuters has only spoken to several people about Microsoft's plans in this field, but supposedly they want to offer more channels. It's unlikely to happen for another year or so, but is one to watch out for.[/p]

That's actually kind of cool, I like it.

They'll make us pay for it on-top of what we already pay (it's microsoft) so no thanks.
Meh, if it's not too expensive, I'll pay for it. I don't mind paying for service, if it's good that is.
Even if the competitors offer something that can do just as much, but free?

I love it when I buy things and it drops in price $10 following month :hateit:
  • Veho @ Veho:
You paid for the privilege of having it a month early.

Even tho product is already a year old

I'm so very tempted to buy that new Anbernic SP. Bastards.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Buy two glue your old screen to the bottom, makeshift Ds
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i want that anbernic sp too
  • Veho @ Veho:
I have their previous SP clone and it's great but the new one has analog sticks, a better screen and twice the RAM. Which I'm not sure makes any difference but twice is twice.
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
the screen looks a lot more punchy
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's exactly three times the resolution of the GBA so there's no resampling in full screen. Integer scaling FTW.
  • Veho @ Veho:
And the colors look great in review videos.

  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
the sticks are moot for me cuz i just want the gba exp.
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
gimme some shoulder buttons i'm used to already
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i like my miyoo mini but mainly just play gb and gbc on it cuz the shoulders are ill-placed
  • Veho @ Veho:
I expected the shoulder buttons on mine to feel weird but the L1/R1 feel just like the GBA SP and the L2/R2 aren't in the way.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Did you have a GBA SP?
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
yeah but it's the 1st one with the dim screen
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i fucking love the form factor tho, just perfect.
  • Veho @ Veho:
The shoulder buttons are pretty similar. If you can't get used to the Myoo Mini placement, maybe these will work out better.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    And yes, clamshell rules :D
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
    yes
