I've started upscaling the textures for this game a few month ago too, but haven't done anything particularly major. I tested a few levels and improved about 10-15% of the textures, but decided not to bother. Uploaded a screenshot with my version of AI Upscaled textures.
Now I'll try to play with your texture pack
