Remember, too, because so many people misunderstand -- UNDER the contact, not outside between the cart and slot.

That's one of the drawbacks of the Acekard... why they made it like that I'll never know. Sure there's no problems with the Acekard and the DSL... but still. Are you using acekard 2i?

Same thing happened to me a few months after getting my AK2i.
Paper trick solved it INSTANTLY.

You could try the paper-outside-the-shell-with-a-tab-so-you-can-pull-it-out one too, I guess. I haven't played much ever since I first tried it, but it apparently didn't crash anymore after doing that.

By the way, why the hell do some 2is have that bump

Which one you should use depends on how loose the cart is in the slot.

You could just try cleaning the contacts with a cotton bud and some sort of cleaner.

actually, i got this contact problem on my DSL and my girlfriend's original DS. but never my DSiXL.
soo go figure.
