I really don't want to solder, and I want to know if using the "Twilight Hack" would provide the same benefits as a modchip. Can you install the Homebrew Channel? Can you play burned GC and Wii games? Can you play WADS of WiiWare and VC games within the Homebrew Channel?

With the twilight hack you can install the homebrew channel (hbc). From hbc you can run the backup loader, which can run copied wii discs. it's still in development so not all games will run. you run the wad manager from the hbc to install wads

And with an USB gecko or something, only 5 bucks, you can play gamecube backups.

Modchipcentral sells a Premodded Wii with a chip of your choice. Is it a good idea to buy this?
