Well I followed the instruction for loading the wood rd. I have on the root of my card the _DS_MENU.DAT and __rpg. But hwen i install the cartridge in the ds, all i get is loading at the top. What could be the problem?

So how do I get it to work? What firmware can I use?

    The firmware for the card...
There's like 400 fake R4s out there, until you know which card you have no one can tell you which firmware to use.

Do you still have the box?
Or a link to where you bought it from?

The firmware of a R4 is fixed and cannot be changed. If yours can be changed then it's not a R4 but a R4 fake.

If it is a real R4 and it still doesn't work then format the SD card with the panasonic formatter, then put the _rpg folder on the card, then _DS_MENU.DAT and then the .nds files. The card should boot fine (if it is a real R4).

If it's not a real R4 then you have to find another kernel since Wood R4 does not work or by a new full clone R4 which is technically identical to the original R4.

Well, you could try Xenon++'s latest WAIO...apparently he got saving for SDHC flashcarts to work or something (I don't have a card to test it on though).
