I only bought my wired microsoft intellimouse about a year ago and whenever I move the wire into a certain orientation it disconnects. It has to stay still for it to work. Is there any way to fix this or do I need a new mouse?

I found these numbers on the bottom of the mouse. Which one would I search up?If you're handy with a soldering iron, these kinds of issues tend to be quite easy to fix, you'd probably spend more time waiting for your iron to heat up than actually fixing the issue. Not specific to this mouse in particular, but generally you'd just nip the cable at the strain relief boot, cut off the next inch or two of the USB cable, strip the casing and insulation, and then solder everything back together.
If you're not handy with a soldering iron, I'd see maybe if you have any luck searching for a cable for that model number mouse on ebay and just swapping it out. Normally it's just on a 4 pin connector that unplugs internally.
I would try this but I don’t have a soldering iron. Thanks anywayIt's easy to fix loose cables.
Just heat your soldering iron enough, and one touch (with flux) should solder the cable back to it's place.
You could also, literally glue the cables on it's pins with Silicone or Tape, see if that works or if you're not confident with your soldering skills.
