Hi,

Since some people seems to wait for a safer downgrader, i did one in a few hours. This is a fork of sysupdater, with a few things added :

- automatically load update information (files, md5) from config files, based on your 3ds model and region
- md5 check all the cia update files before downgrading

This should prevent some errors (wrong region downgrade pack, corrupted downloads...).

To use it you have to :

- Put SafeSysUpdater.3dsx somewhere you can launch it...
- Put your downgrade pack as usual ("/updates/*.cia")
- Put all downgrade configuration files (*.cfg) in the "/updates/" folder.
- Try hard to get memchunkhax2 to succeed

So i'm asking peoples with an hardmod to test it and report Note that it won't give you a better boot rate than sysupdater, and it won't prevent a brick if a crash occurs (like original sysupdater).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, IT HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED A FEW TIMES ON MY EUR n3DS. YOU NEED AN HARDMOD TO USE THIS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

It would be a good idea to check signatures of installed CIAs afterwards as well, and retry if the check fails. KTM does something like this already though it only checks if the titles are installed, not if the signatures are valid (which is obviously important, since the 3DS will refuse to boot if it finds that any of the important titles fail the signature check, even if they technically work)

It's too bad @JustPingo just gave up. KTM looked promising, but ended up being really unstable and he couldn't fix the bugs I guess?

Thanks for making this @cpasjuste I wish I had a hardmoded 3ds to test. I could test in emunand but that may not be helpfull at all.

Hi, thanks Well in fact it is ! I know all is working its just I'd like some people to confirm that. But I'll release a CIA version tomorow for people to test it on emunand (so you don't have to spent 10min getting memchunkhax2 to succeed...).

the best would be before launch downgrate, if sysupdater was able to dump nan on sd then start DG, duno if it possible, but but can save ppl if something goes wrong

Unfortunately it is not, we need arm9 access for this. Would have been the best else.

I don't think it will work around the cases where people have to format there 3ds.
I don't even know how you would begin to solve that issue.

well from what I understand this has a few % higher success rate then sysupdater so this should help people not have to reupdate and downgrade to get CFW like I had to.

I hope this is ready before Nintendo releases 10.4.

yea, at 2PM ninty's time the servers will be down so no more 10.3 upgrading I believe so as long as he gets this program out before then it should be fine

if you really want to downgrade before ninty's maintenance then unless you have a N3DS then you should be fine using sysupdater if you follow directions precisely.

You really should try to downgrade instead of waiting, the current versions of sysUpdater are pretty safe.

I have the files for my O3DS in the zip folder. It says it has 127 files, now all I have to do is run a Windows program to has check them. How do I tell if they're corrupted though?

if you got them from that ISO site then the files should be fine as that's where I got mine from.

So long as the zip containing those files match one of these, then your fine.

The "9.2.0-20U(Full).zip" is around 173Mb. The thing is if you don't have the correct files you won't brick with this as it won't let you downgrade without the correct files. (but still needs to be tested by hardmod's before)

If it has a folder named updates and 126 files in it, that looks like it.

How do you scan them? I counted 124 but I could be mistaken. I think I got the same one Damon girl got. I downgraded but I havent seen any problems... yet

What do I compare the md5 with? the zip file?
