Want to know what you think, becuase there are many reasons why it could or could not.
For example, the NES classic uses pro controllers, so since pro controllers need the wii remote, if the new classic controller is cross-compatible with the switch, it would need a wii remote.

But the wii remote has no joystick, so if it was compatible would you need a nunchuck?

Honestly, I hope it is compatible.

Most likely not. Considering how Nintendo likes to drop compatibility for certain hardware after two console generations. Same with all other companies.

as i said in another thread, ninty said switch (nx at the time) wont replace the wii u. so i guess wii compatibility will stick to wii u

I almoat forget I have access to future seeing with magic. On the other hand, I think it will. I mean even pc support it.
pc doesnt natively support it, you require some third party hardware and software in order to support it

Just Dance 2017 Will be release for Nintendo Switch next 5-6 months, so can someone tell me how to dance without a Wii remote? (i know there's a phones to dance but i want the physical controllers) or, they will make a new motion controller.

Maybe the Joy-Cons are also motion controllers.

I believe the screen has a wireless receiver. I also believe the screen has physical connections for the joy-cons.

I think the joy-cons themselves doesn't have any kind of wireless device. The black-ish addon for the joy-cons alone has, though.

That black-ish standalone thingie may be in fact the real controller. The addons you plug to the sides of it are just well, addons.

Nintendo may have added support for the Wiimote and Wii U controllers (and pro controllers) only for docked mode. I don't know how the wii u scren controller may work.

If Nintendo plans to add a Wii virtual console, and rake in all dat sweet sweet money for overpricing digital copies of 5+ year old games.

Not true. Remember the aeroplane scene in the trailer?

I hope the so. At least, the motion control in Mario Kart Wii/MK8 and Splatoon feels too central to take away from future versions. I wouldn't mind if it required the docking station to work either (thinking about a USB device with socket for Wii sensor bar).

Why not? That new controller will probably use bluetooth. Just throw some extra lines of code into the drivers and boom, Wii Mote compatibility.
Maybe it won't have a sensor bar, so no pointing at the screen, but the Wii Mote still works as a controller on its side without the sensor bar.
