I KNOW WE ARE A LONG LONG WAY FROM EVEN PS2/GAMECUBE/XBOX EMULATION.

My question is... I have a Wii and a PS3 and I know they will be very difficult to emulate because of the extra hardware in the controllers, but will the 360 be emulatable? Will 360 games be able to be played with like a keyboard?

Why not? And as usual, the best way to play emulated games is with a knock-off controller or with the real controller with adapter (if required, I know the 360 controller can connect via bluetooth).

Coders will probably get better at using hardware too, so maybe it'll happen sooner or better than you think.

I'd like to see them start releasing Xbox Live arcade games on the PC, it was the only real reason I had a 360 two seperate times.....

Dolphin already supports a good chunk of Wii games, and you can use your Wiimote through Bluetooth if you want. GameCube also works pretty well on the same emulator (Dolphin).

PS2 is getting on for full emulation, but it's been on hiatus for ages, and as for Xbox, no-one thinks it's good enough to start a serious emulator aha. There is one though, that only plays the original Halo (which is clearly useless, seeing as you can play it on PC already).

As for Xbox 360 and PS3 emulation, sure it's possible, but both pushed the envelope hardware-wise much, much more this generation than any generation before, so expect it to take another 10 years at least before proper emulation

. Basically, don't hold your breath.

There have been rumours that Halo 3 will come to PC, just as the previous titles have...Maybe when the next xbox comes out or when the next Windows OS is released? Seems to be the trend when it comes to Halo games being ported to PC.

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
