I've done that twice.
After I failed the 1st mini game and learned the rules that way, I played the rest of the rounds along side the time I set on my phone(s). One timer to tell me to hurry up and rush to the guy/girl, and the other one to tell me when to press A.

Is that cheating? Who knows....

That's pretty cool! The very first time I played it I whizzed through the rules and then wondered why there was no timer. I somehow managed to return with 0.33 seconds left, and I was really impressed with that, but 0.00 seconds is awesome.
