...to install CFW above 3.55OFW? I say this because despite the progress the ps3 scene has made with CFW's above 3.55, it's still impossible to actually install them above 3.55 without hardmodding your system, which can be risky if you don't know what you're doing.

Is there even a theoretical possibility that CFW could be installed on later official firmwares?

In theory, once encryptions that Sony uses is broken, it is possible. However, don't count on it.
