Like title says. I have a save file I made using a .3ds rom. If i were to download and play the .3dz rom of the same game will my save file from the .3ds rom work for the .3dz? If not are there any kind of tools that will convert it to work?

Really?! Can you do it without an MT-Card? That would be very helpful for me!
well thats what i gathered from the rather messy diagram they put out with the latest update, and i dont think its possible without the card as the saves are stored on the micro SD for MT card.....no doubt gateway will turn up with something similar soon

...welllll if you own a MT card they can convert from .3ds to .3dz save, maybe you can ask someone to help you out

So if I were to send someone with a MT card my .3ds save file could they convert it to .3dz save file and then send that to me and use the save file on a gateway?

what? i didnt know anything about this????

and as i would assume... you would have to also send this person your rom..or atleast the header your rom has to use a .3dz save that they generated for you..

use gateway rom patcher and extract the header, i think you might as well try find someone willing to help before you get too excited :D

Is this only useful for games with online features, or does this mean that it can convert saves to and from Gateway/MT 5.x+ and normal 5.x+?

Or, can it also convert to and from 128 KB .3ds saves and 512 KB .3dz saves?

If it is one or both of the latter two, then that is excellent!

again im not 100% on the details, but from what i gather, it can dump a save from a retail cart even if the save is 128KB and make a 512kb save out of it, not sure if it allows direct coverting of 128kb saves.....but they should as its pretty much the same principle

what it doesnt allow is the conversion from proper 6.x encrypted saves to flashcard 6.x save encryption

I will have to try this with my Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition save! Before, I was backing up the game card save, losing to the Gateway save a lot, restoring the game card save, repeating the process, then reversing the process to further my game card save. Using this new option should allow me to further my game card save much faster by backing it up, converting it, fighting it, and repeating the process after a while.

Now I can boost my Battle Points and Player Points faster than ever before!
