It would be awesome to install wiiware or wads from a dvd since i have to use my friends windows cpu to use my sd card. will this ever happen?

possilbe, yes. and pretty easy to do. but really stupid. you will waste a dvd just to be able to install a channel. theres already lots of different ways to install channels. sd, usb, smb, wifi. they all require a PC. but look at it this way...
people that write this software do it for free. and they usually only write stuff that they have a need for.
people that write this type of software all have a PC.
its safe to assume that nobody will soon write 1 app to install a channel directly a DVD-r.
having said that, you can still do it, but it will require using 2 different apps.
1) burn your channel wad to DVD
2) use wiixplorer to copy a channel from the DVD to your sd card or USB drive
3) use wadmanager to install it
