When you spoof and put Tubehax in (which is a MUST to avoid firmware updates) then you can play online very well. If something isn't working, just run the Kernel Exploit once (till it works) and then NNU Patcher. Then you can access the Eshop and stuff until you restart your console.
However: You don't need NNU Patcher to play online. Just spoof and make sure Mario Maker has the latest update (for the game, not the Wii U firmware) to play online. To update Mario Maker use WUP Installer (search the forum for instructions).

Thanks for your reply.

So I got it right I just have to spoof to 5.5.1, install the latest Mario Maker Update and thats it?
I was assuming that to play online with my Wii U i need to have an account to log into, like on the Playstation Network for example.

Is it possible to create a Nintendo account when I´m using TubeHax, or do I not even need one to play online?

And one other thing: Is it also possible to buy stuff from the eShop with the NNU Patcher, or can I just download stuff I already purchased?

You're welcome.
Since I have an account I can't tell you whether I need it or not to play online but who cares? It's free to sign up and no problem.
But yes -> spoof, update via NUSGrabber/WUP Installer and play.

With NNU Patcher you can access the Eshop although you're using Tubehax to protect yourself.
You can buy games and DLCs as much as you want.

so the preinstalled Mario kart 8 cant be played online?
Oh I guess it can. Maybe I used the wrong words: Loadiine can NOT go online. Regular purchased games* can. But they should be up to date of course. Do update them use WUP Installer.

*preinstalled counts as purchased

Just FYI, if you spoof and use NNU patcher you can performance updates to etitles through the eshop. No need to use WUP Installer.

How did you did this ?? ... the only way i can download content from the eshop is after purchasing the games a hard reset on the console otherwise it wont download ...... I tried staying inside the eshop but that did not help

It just works for me. I have several games purchased when I had my 5.5.1 wii u. After doing a system transfer over to my 5.4u wii u I ran the exploit, spoofed to 5.5.1, ran NNU patcher and then logged into eshop. All my previous purchases were there. I downloaded them all along with their respective updates. If you hard reset you will have to run NNU again to resume downloading. But yes, you have to purchase. No freebies

Make sure you're spoofed to 5.5.1 of course.

By the way, if you're missing any games that you've purchased just call Nintendo. Their support is awesome!

*edit: So I was wrong. You don't have to run the NNU patcher again after hard reset. I noticed that it fails if you have a bunch of downloads. Just do one at a time and it should work just fine.
