Hope this is the right place for this thread.

I have a project I'm looking to get off the ground. I am looking for some help with the bluetooth communication that goes on between the WiiU and the Pro controller. Looking up any information on the internet has been useless since Wii and WiiU in google pretty much bring up just Wii stuff.

    Thanks,

I should be able to pass that along. I am looking for anyone who would have information on more how the protocol works if I wanted to have a controller work directly with the wiiu same as the pro does.

It's not bluetooth connectivity, you can connect a PS3 controller to a Wii via the USB charging cable. This involves homebrew for the Wii though and may not help if you are working with the Wii U.
