Hi all,
I own an Italian WiiU and I just bought Black OPS II, which came with the Spanish and Italian languages available only. I usually set all my devices to English to improve my understanding of the language. I also set Italy as my region, but when I start the game, it's in Spanish and I cannot find any in-game menus to set it differently. Is there a way to change it to Italian without changing the system settings back and forth every time I want to play this specific game?

Thank you :)

AFAIK no, there is no such solution available. A WUPS plugin might be able to do this but somebody would have to develop said plugin first.

I see,
since I dumped the disc in my HDD I was hoping for a way to edit the game files in order to delete the Spanish language and force the system to load Italian instead. I've got to learn some Spanish then, because I really don't want to waste time switching the system language all the time!

Thank you for your reply

It might now work by deleting spanish but overwriting it with the italian. Sadly I don't own black ops II, so I can't help you to identify the correct files.

//EDIT: Just looked at "something" and there are two EUR versions available:
  • Call of Duty - Black Ops II (Europe) (En,Fr)
  • Call of Duty - Black Ops II (Europe) (Es,It)
So in case playing in english is OK for you, too, you might want to replace the version. Might be more simple than identifying and exchanging language files.

I thought that every PAL game would come with all the EU languages included, and when I bought the game I didn't check the back cover, where it listed ES and IT languages only.
Playing in English would be great, but I'd rather not buy another copy of the game! As Black Ops II is a physical-only game, it's not on USB Helper and unfortunately I couldn't find any other "something" way to get it
