HI i just found the wiiscu shopping channel and ios update util. It says it can get the channels updated to that of 4.0 and working on 3.2 ect. Has anyone tried it and confirm that it works ok

Where do I find this wiiscu WAD and is it any different to wanin's 4.0 updater ?

just ggole it. any yes its different. this just updates the shop channel and photo channel ect and patches and installs some need ios files but does not update the firmare in anyway so its safe to use. I istalled with no probs.
just install all ios files with truncha bug fix. read the readme when you get it and it tels you how. you have option to istall without truncha bug but dont, pick + truncha and you will be fine.

Ah, ok - pretty sure I've done all that using the wanin method. Always get confused when my Wii still claims it is 3.2
