UPDATE: Wiirtual Boy has been succeeded by Wii Mednafen (a multi-console emulator from which Wiirtual Boy was created). Check it out here.

Wiirtual Boy is a partial port of Mednafen, a Virtual Boy Emulator for the Nintendo Wii by raz0red and Arikado.

That's awesome. Time to break out the red and blue markers and make some old reading glasses into ghetto 3D viewers.

Preview release is up now!
I ended up just ordering a 3pack of cardboard 3D glasses from Amazon to use with this (ran me 3$ if anyone is curious), hope they come soon

You people should try to get your hands on Bound High, a never released game that surfaced recently on the internet that's actually kind of neat.

Also, Planet Virtual Boy has some interesting homebrew for the VB.

will the 3D effect work on a Standard Def HD tv? If you own a pair of anaglyph glasses? if so. (when I find work again) I'm IN!

Still waiting for my glasses to come in the mail. I did briefly test out my old favorite games on this though, and was impressed by the performance. Even Red Alarm seems to run without much trouble, which was the height of VB graphics IMO.

Off to find the games now...........good thing that some months ago I bought 3 pairs of 3D glasses with all possible color combination ( red/blue-green and so on ), I really wanna try this pre-release !

Is it possible for this emulator to work for DS flashcarts. I want to play on a virtual boy emulator on my SuperCard DSTWO, also think of the possibilities that the 3DS can take advantage of the 3D aspect.

i can see why it was a failure of a console, i cant even handle the red graphics that would be horrible to stare at all day

Yeah being red was pretty bad for some people, the only thing that really bothered me about it was the lack of decent games. Considering how fast they pulled it from the shelves its not really surprising.

I do wonder if they will come out with some of these games on the 3DS enhanced with color graphics of course. Maybe downloadable or something.

I ended up giving my Virtualboy to a friend who liked it far better then I did (he smoked a lot of pot so being high probably helped with the red color and he was semi color blind anyway so it probably didn't bother him as much.)

I picked mine up for like $20 and most of the games for like 2-5 each at Walmart when they where clearing them out, sort of wish I had it now my collection would be far better off with it
