Hacking Wiinja v1 DREs FIXED by Capacitator

This does work just make sure you're not using an electrolytic cap. a ceramic disc works fine and it doesn't matter which way round you put it as its non-polarised.

I've tried it with both wiinja v1 on no dre's off loads of them
Also the same with errants dvdcable off loads on none.
Good luck just persevere.

Just use pleomax dvd-r 8x and you will never see a dre again. I have a wiinja V1 and no dre with pleomax on excite truck with verbatim I get a lot of dre's on excite truck.

sorry, i'm using pleomax -r 8x burned at 4x and i had some DRE's. a lot with barnayrd, and like three/four on excite truck...

so nobody really tested this yet?

And you soldered it on the legs? I do have a disc-style capacitor and it disables my chip.

Yes directly to the legs. Works fine.

Yeah, the results seem a little sporadic. This is about as reliable as screwing with the laser pot :/
