Gaming WiiMote LED light "mod"

Takrin or anyone that did the mod. Where did you get the supply for the Nunchuck mod and what kind? Links to the website would be nice

Oh, that's pretty much the coolest site I've seen in a long time. I recently came into a free Wiimote and a cheap Wiimote for my 3rd and 4th controllers, that aren't exactly necessary for me, so I"m going to try this out on those (in case anything goes wrong). I've never soldered or modded anything before, but I think I could do this. Radical.

well this sucks. just found out both my wiimotes can't do the "A" button backlit mod. I could do the indicator lights but they look like a pain to work with. I guess I'll work with the Nunchuck mod T_T

just do what i did, wire the backlight via 4 led. its about as much trouble as replacing those tiny ass led just a tiny bit more work. was hardest to remove led without ripping pads, then positioning the led was pain once its soldered on both point it wont move again unless if you heat up both points again

I can't really see what you did and what kind of LEDs? are they those surface mount LEDs?

Edit: does your mod also work with the nunchuck? Cause if it does I think I'm gonna use that method with the nunchuck

that sucked I wans't able to do the mod cause the local store(s) didn't sell any blue 3mm LED or those surface mounts LED. I have to order them online. The more and more I think about it, it's just not worth the trouble to "pimp" out my controller.
