So, when trying to load any app from the HBC, the app starts up but no more. Cannot use my WiiMote (Motion Plus controller btw). Therefore, cannot install cMIOS => cannot finish softmodding my console xD. Help !

maybe the app or the hbc is too old.
i had problems with some apps recognizing my golden zelda wiimote. after a software udpate of the apps it worked for me.

You need to buy a non motion+ remote, or buy a motion+ and hope it is old enough to work. The first option is obviously safer, not to mention cheaper.
@mrgone The Zelda model worked fine, it was a slightly newer model that had the problem. Your remote must have been freezing for another reason, or you are confused (I'm not trying to insult you).
