Recently picked a wii mini with bluebomb, was thinking about how to get physical GameCube disks working. I can see that the wii mini disk drive will not grab the gamecube disk due to its size, could a 8cm to 12cm mini DVD to DVD adapter, like the one pictured? obviously for use with Nintendont. What about an external USB DVD drive with Uloader, possible?

afaik to allow a Wii Mini to load GameCube discs, you need to swap disc drives to one with the mechanism for 8cm discs (BC disc drive), then install an older Disc Channel, MIOS and some IOS modules (don't know which ones specifically).

Not sure Uloader would be able to load GameCube discs in specific. I'd bet it can't due to how it works.

Wii Mini (RVL-201) or Wii Family Edition (RVL-101)?

There is no problem inserting a small disc into the top loading Wii Mini. But the drive will probably just ignore/reject it.
Inserting a mini-DVD into the RVL-101 drive is something I would not dare to try (I have such an adapter, but would not even use them in 1x speed audio CD players, let alone a fast optical drive).

External drives will not work since they are not able to understand the logical sector structure of genuine Wii/GC discs. Physically original games are DVDs, but on logical level they are not.
