Since all the links to WiiMC+ seem to be dead, I decided to make a neat package:

WiiMC+ V14H complete pack (v3)

– ready to use
– updated to 14H (http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1985)
– MusicPlus Enhancement Pack updated to V1d (http://www.wiimc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1984)

for Wii:
– “WiiMC-Plus Forwarder Channel v1.wad” by emerkamp
– “WiiMC+ Forwarder Channel v1.wad” by mrgreg
(both forwarders from http://www.wiimc.org/forums/topic/wiimc-forwarderchannel-now-available/)

for vWii (virtual Wii, on Wii U)
– “WiiMC-Plus Forwarder Channel V1 vWii.wad” by emerkamp
– “WiiMC+ Forwarder Channel v1 vWii.wad” by mrgreg

WiiMC/WiiMC+ were coded by Tantric, rodries and jhb50.
Forwarders converted to vWii using Convert2vWii by JoostinOnline. Thanks!

Forwarders won't work on both wii and vwii. However, you can run the forwarders through a program like convertovwii that will make them work for vwii. It's not to hard to do and has worked with any wii forwarder I've tried.

Thank you, but I already tried Convert2vWii. I tried the unconverted as well as the converted forwarders in SNEEK and on real NAND afterwards.

The file size didn't change after conversion and the forwarders still had the black screen, so I asumed they already had the newest forwarding source. Maybe they just didn't like my harddisk or my SD card.

Forwarders are now included for both Wii and vWii, thanks to JoostinOnline and a his new version of Convert2vWii!

What exactly does WiiMC + have that WiiMC doesn't?

Yeah, the links to tell you what it does seems to be down. Does it add tag support for music? That alone would be a big enough draw for me to start using it.

It has tons of settings that WiiMC hasn't. But to be honest, it's been years since I've switched from WiiMC to WiiMC+.

I doubt there is tag support, but there is a Jukebox Mode. Most of these features are pretty complicated so you might just have a look in the included documentation (which is plenty).

Sorry, but I mostly just used it for watching movies and series. It has a feature to play the next video after the current one is finished... that's about the only WiiMC+ feature I needed.

It does, though after a certain amount it starts to forget the last marked videos.
I just remembered... original WiiMC just remembers "watched" or "not watched", with a green check mark. WiiMC+ also remembers "partially watched" (red check mark, iirc).

And you can configure it to remember 500 videos.
