yeah WiiMC stopped recognising my HDD once IOS58 was implemented but i found if i leave WiiMC and select the different tabs, Video, Pictures what not, the PC SMB option disappears in the device list and the my HDD shows up............

I use MPlayer CE most of the time now as it has better compatibility overall than WiiMC

Wiimc past version 1.0.6 doesn't recognize my usb device too, lol.

I've been on the same version of wiimc since August(1.0.6).

I used to be on ver 1.0.6 but just switched to 1.1.1 and then 1.1.2. I've had no problems thus far, everything works, smb share, pictures, etc.

Add .srt support!!! Please!

It works already.
Maybe your .srt file doesn't have the same name than the video?
Not always, some of my srt works under vlc/windows and some doesn't under wiimc. What I do is open it using Aegisub (free) and save-it as something.ssa or srt !!

Pip'

check the file encoding of your .srt file, I know that some I got are encoded in a strange text format (UTF-8 + BOM ???) and saving them as ANSI text files make them work again

WiiMC does not handle some line feed characters the same way as Windows does. You can use any subtitle editing software - I like SubMagic, to fix any LF/LR errors in srt files, and then, if that is your issue, they should work fine with WiiMC.

Maybe now my American DVDs will stop playing in French? And maybe I can click on the menus now?

Code dumps when I try to open my HDD. Sticking with 1.1.1. Seems about every 3rd or so release is actually usable. (Differs for users)

Mmmmmm.... I already installed (just after using this) the so-famous IOS58, but I still get the white flag sayin' "this IOS is not supported" or sumtin' like that, does anyone else is having this issue...??
