I'm getting the same problem - it won't find the USB drive. I'm probably being dumb but I've read the readme several times and can't see where I'm going wrong.

I've got 3 partitions: NTFS, FAT32, WBFS in that order. Does the FAT32 one need to be first for it to be recognised?

Also, I've not installed another other cIOSes other than 249, would I need to install kwiirk's USB2 IOS as there's no mention of it... or is it just assumed that you'd already have it installed if you want to use the USB dumping method?

Cheers
And for the last ones that haven't heard it until now (god, I've said that more then 10-times)...the FAT32-Partition has to be the first partition....

. If it still won't work after that, you can try another USB-Port. If that still don't work, your Drive is incompatible...

Oh, and install the USB2.0 cIOS from Hermes, it's better. Download it from the MPlayer-CE Site and install it as IOS202

Heh, what would you say if I said there was a dumper that can not only see FAT partitions in other locations, but can also dump to SD faster than USB2? In fact so fast that it can rip SSBB in under an hour?

FAT32, , WBFS NTFS my drive is formated this way i have installed hermes cios and decided to install MPlayer-CE ......these work with the hdd
but still cannot be found on dumper....

Have you tried rebooting your Wii with the USB drive plugged in? I had some initial detection problems when plugging the drive in while in the HBC menu.

Other than that it may simply be an incompatible drive. In theory any drive that works for the USB Loader should work for this too though.

I had to take it down temporarily to fix something but it's back online now.
SuperDump.
- Dumps to SD faster than any currently available dumper (full disc in approx. 30 mins, depending on speed of card)
- Can also dump to usb or usb2 (if appropriate cIOS is installed)
- Can find FAT/FAT32 partitions that aren't the first partition on the disc

has anyone tested super dumper

From what I can tell it works great. Shame there's no source included.

Using a 8GB SDHC card, I got a regular SL disc dumped in around 30 minutes. I wish the part sizes were more flexible, however it continued without issue and dumped the game in 3GB and 1.4GB parts.

@super dumper stops at libfat on both my usb hdd and kingston pen.(16gb) with fat 32 part...buffalo 2gb works cant understand how the other 2 dont wwork as both work with usb loader and ..

...oh well back to installing directto hdd via usb loader.

I've only tested USB with the latest cIOS. No guarantees about how it will behave with other versions. SD Card mode is optimized better, I suggest using it instead.

Also, if you can see that the HD/USB stick is still reading, it's probably not stuck but just calculating the free space. This can sometimes take a while for large FAT32 partitions.

For some reason WiiDump 1.5.1 seems to rip to my hard drive fine but when i look at files there always 1 missing and cant re-join?

SuperDump works great to sdcard but to hard drive takes over 3 hrs for single layer wii game

thanx

so both versions have their faults..?

As mentioned (briefly) in this post:

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=93891&st=255

I am getting an "error reading sector data" message at 99% every time I try to use any dumper based on nitrotux and CaitSith2's code (including WiiDump 1.5, WiiHTTPd-do, and Superdump). This happens regardless of whether I dump to SD, USB, or over Wifi.

I am certain that this is related to my Wasabi Zero chip (WiiHTTPd-do worked fine prior to installing the chip). I have tried SuperDump with the same game disc and SD card on another Wii and it worked perfectly.

Waninkoko's cIOS DVD-Dumper v1.2 works perfectly over Wifi on my chipped Wii.

I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone else experiences the same issue. It would be great if someone knew of a code fix for this, but I doubt it will happen (SuperDump is FAST when it works

It only says SuperDump takes over 3 hours to rip to a hard drive, it doesn't say WiiDump is faster. I'd like to know if it is, since I've nearly doubled SuperDump's USB speed so far but it's still slower than SD.

Do the dumps still work? Sounds like the chip won't give access to the very last few sectors of the disc, which are probably unused but that's not guaranteed.

WiiDump takes me an hour to dump single layer wii game to my hard drive.. SuperDump takes over 3 hours to USB hard drive.. but SuperDump to SD is SUPER fast

Faster speed to USB HD would be great

I cant really use WiiDump to USB anyways because i always get the error 'a file is missing' when trying to rebuild
