Hacking WiiBot

[Brian] sent in his Wiimote hacking project - he and his cohort used it to control an industrial sized robot arm. Then they armed it. Keep in mind that the sword is full size. [Brian] ended up writing a basic pattern recognition program to get it to perform they way they wanted. Response time is a bit laggy, but not bad for a one-off project. I need my own industrial robot.

how did he get the information from the wiimote into the pc?? Is there some wifi/bluetooth code I am missing??

I can only how the info was converted from joystick to robot movements.

There is a hack that lets you use the WiiMote as a mouse or something

ahh makes sense now. Couldn't see how they had figured out the wiimote interface in one evening.

Where can I find two robotic arms? One Wiimote in each hand, each controlling a different robotic arm ... that's be sweet!

Try Kuka industrial robots, the sturdy and durable robotic manipulator arms, or if you're not into money at the moment, or simply don't need your manipulator to be able to lift a car, I suggest one of Rhino Robotics educational robot manipulators. Slightly cheaper, they still offer a full spherical range of motion with redundant joints for avoiding those pesky pesky obstacles.

Perfect if you're a small industry trying to make it big
