Hardware Wii VC does not load from Wii U Menu. Black Screen.

So, I recently got a new Flash Drive to store all my games in for my Wii U, went from 256gb to 1tb. Now trying to load up Wii VC games doesn't work from the Wii U menu and results in a black screen, every other VC console works fine. Wii U games also work fine.

my guess is it's the fact you're using a flash drive. the wii u usually doesn't like them.

Yet it only affects the Wii games and not Wii U or any other VC title?

I don't know. I don't use a flash drive. though, I'd imagine it would have weird effects like that, yes.

I had the same problem, what I did is that I semi-brick my vWii by hacking. I fixed it by using vwii decaffeinator on my Wii u homebrew. If you have homebrew on your Wii u use this app and update your Wii u (It updates even when your Wii u is up to date). If you don't have homebrew on your Wii u then get free homebrew on your Wii u it is impossible to brick your Wii u with free homebrew. I hope helps your problem.
