Gaming Wii VC available after update?

For anyone who currently has a Wii U, once you get the update to get the eshop, Miiverse, etc. etc. do you have access to the Wii VC and are able to purchase games through there for the Wii U(like how the 3DS has Dsiware)?

I know it won't matter to many because they've already made such purchases on their Wiis by now and are transferring, but this is a question that popped up in my mind.

After the update you'll find a fully functional Wii menu as Wii U application including a Wii Shop Channel to purchase all the good old stuff.
You can't buy them from the Nintendo eShop though, you have to take the way through the Wii menu.

That's good to know. I was just wondering if I could purchase VC and stuff I missed but wanted to just get them through the Wii U. Thanks.
