it really doesn't matter what version of CORP you have, nor do you need an unistaller to get rid of it....

just use modmii (or the update pack from the 'update any wii' thread) to get the most current IOSes and overwrite your system IOSes....this will effectively replace your CORPed IOSes with non-CORPed IOSes.... i think Modmii even addresses cIOSCORP removal in the wizard.....

the uninstaller does the exact same thing, except it likely will be using older IOSes....

you mean i try to re-hack the wii and when asked what version i want to update to i say 4.2?right?

essentially yes....after 'i agree' in Modmii, it's w, n, 3.x, u, 4.2, pick you SM channels (a for all), y, y, y...(etc), d, y..... move your COPY_TO_SD folder contents to the root of your SD Card.....follow the guide....this will get you to where you need to go....

you're gonna want to (re)install priiloader, and for god's sake, make a NAND backup with bootmii....which i am pretty positive is all in the generated guide as well....

using mod-mii might not actually remove the the cios-corps some of the issues might have the version maxed out so it would appear they are newer then whats being installed and there for might not allow them to be downgraded. What I did to remove them from mine is just use dopmii to upgrade the system then go back and check the ios's and just update each to the newest version. If you are updating to 4.2 just dont install ios80.

i don't believe that's the case here....if you attempt to install a .wad file with MMM or YAWMM, it doesn't check and compare versions before proceeding...not like an official ninty update would. i'm pretty sure i have removed prior CC versions this way.....

someone correct me if i'm wrong here.....

Yeah you might be right. It should not kill anything if it does not remove anything and just updates the system menu. I was just making a statement of what might happen. I have never been big on installing ios using MMM or YAWMM. I would get bootmii or priiloader installed first though.

Also did you ever try and get HBC fixed? I can mess with mine and figure out what exact ios causes it to flip like that.

you shouldn't need to update the SM....i don't think CC/DC touches the SM....it does touch the SM IOS though; but that's okay, you want that patched as priiloader needs the patching to work correctly.....
when you get the latest IOSes (from Modmii or the update pack fromte 'mod and wii' thread) , just remove the SM and the SM IOS from the pack, then install....this should eliminate CC/DC...and because you aren't touching the SM or the SM IOS, there isn't a risk of a brick.....

alternatively, you could get the 4.2 SM and IOS70 and install those first just to be on the the SM you want to be on....though i don't think it'll be patched if you go that route....but then you can update all your other IOSes after that to get rid of DC...

you can run a syscheck before and after to be sure....
