Which USB hard drive should I get for my Wii u which works? I'm after a 500GB USB hard drive. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I'm just going to used It for the Wii u format. Just getting games from the eshop etc.

You need a hard drive with external power source, or an USB Y-cable to use both USB port to provide enough power.

in that case, the decision should be based on your preferred brand of hdd. i like WD if they are 1tb and lower. i like seagate for anything 1.5tb and larger. it's really all up to you. i would just go with getting the cheapest name brand drive that you can get. hope this helps. check ebay or craigslist for the best deals with free shipping. in any case, do as cyan says and get one with an external power source or else you will have to get the y-cable.

I got myself a Buffalo 500GB MiniStation USB 2.0. And a Y-Cable and It's working great I chosen a 500GB as It enough room for me.
