Wii U SD Card not reading on PC

I just bought a Wii U and the person said to me that it was already modded, But when I checked the console I realized that it was a very outdated Homebrew. Not to mention that the SD card is only 2GB, So I thought about changing to a larger capacity one but there's another problem and is that the original SD can't be read on any other device other than the Wii U. How can I copy my files or even put games on it if it can't be read on PC?

I tried to put another sd (without any files, obviously) and the screen said "payload won't load" so yeah, I need those files. But I'm worried that if I buy another SD and add games to it, the console will ask me to format it, or is it only with USBs?

I don't know if I'm asking too much, but if anyone here has a copy of their files on their Wii U SD card could pass them to me?

Hello,

I think your SD was read from a USB key. If this is the case, you will need to reformat the SD in fat32.

OP. When you said SD card, is it from the actual sd card slot at the front of the console?
