hey all, uwuvci downloads a .ini file to help with an offset for NFL blitz, but it appears to still be wrong. how can i fix this? the clipbottom and clipright values need ot be adjusted.

here is what happens after applying widescreen patch. the .ini has the following

[Render]
ClipBottom = 47
ClipLeft = 0
ClipTop = 0
ClipRight = 55

i got no idea about editing N64 Wii U VC ini files but i guess the Bottom and Right values are wrong.

Try using these settings

[Render]
ClipBottom = 0
ClipLeft = 0
ClipTop = 0
ClipRight = 0

i ended up using phacox's injector and cemu to move the frame (x 65, Y -44) after selecting the widescreen option, mempak yes and adding the expansion pak. it's like 99% where it needs to be.

edit: for some reason, after enabling widescreen in uwuvci, the .ini file would not stretch the image properly, despite me changing the value multiple times. the widescreen option worked for my other injects, including smash remix, so there could be something about this particular romhack (nfl blitz 2023 gold /2024 n64) and how the code applies to the widescreen on this particular romhack. the option in phacox was translation for the values above, then enable the option for mempak in the edit section, and manually add the expansion pak code to phacox's .ini right before building.

you got smash remix working installed without crashing? last time i injected smash remix it would randomly crash during battles.

So far no crash, I follow the compatibility guide for regular smash Brother. just make sure that before you inject, you add the expansion pack variable to the .ini

inject on ssb base or on f zero base?
Mario golf, per the wiki for original smash bros. Follow the instructions by changing the header to Japanese and using the ini provided by the injector. You'll just do the same instructions with the smash remix ROM. Just make sure to add the expansion pak variable to the ini

To clarify, you have the latest version of Remix working on Wii U as an inject? I had injects of it working fine up until a certain update maybe about a year ago. And then they stopped working on Wii U.

If it is the latest version, I'll have to give that a try to install with your parameters when I get the chance.

well he plays them on cemu which is why they might work better and not crash instead of real hardware from what i could tell.

that's correct (v1.4.1 as of this post), so far i just tested a 4p game (3 cpu, me 1 player) and it worked using the above instructions

so you only did one battle and im guessing a short one... yeah you can play one or 2 battles but after awhile it will crash randomly... that was always the issue.

Well I could no longer get Remix to load at all as an inject at a certain version update. So crashing would still be a step up from what I had been experiencing. Currently my installed inject is quite old (don't know the version offhand), but at least it loads at all. Gonna give the newest version a try with his parameters later today. I'll report my findings.

hey there, been busy but i just wanted to get in a quick reply. i set up a 4 player match (3 cpu, me using the classic controller pro plugged into a wii remote) and set infinite time on sector z. i just let it run for 30 min, occasionally playing then leaving it be. so far, no crashes, and speed seems to be pretty good. this is for following the regular smash compatibility, just substituting the smash remix rom and making sure to add the expansion pak variable ( RamSize = 0X800000 ) to the .ini file before injecting

edit: spoke a bit too soon, i did encounter a bug where the game froze when backing up to the title menu from the option select menu. i also recall a previously reported bug where invincibility star may not show the sparkly graphics on your character, but the actual invincible effect still works. the gameplay with 4 players was really solid though. i also removed dark filter and added widescreen patch, some people may opt for 4:3 depending on preference.
