so a while i was playing around swapping buttons between my white and black gamepads. i guess i was just trying to make them more me i guess. but while i was doing that i had the idea to put ps4 ds4 joysticks on my gamepad. who would have thought that they fit perfectly no problem. one of the best things i might have ever did. they are so comfortable . check it out

Great job man!
I'm impressed everyday how productive this community is!
Looks really good.

Did it require any soldering? Maybe there's other cool mods to be made.
Maybe you should make guide, I think many wants to replace their joypad but don't know how.

Honestly no soldering at all they just went right on like they were made for it. what happened it i got a set of glow in the dark button from amazon for my ds4. so that left me with the stock ones. well i had a afterglow wii u pro controller and i liked the sticks so i tried to put them on my gamepad. they fit kinda. but they were to big and would not move freely. so when i took those back out i seen my stock ds4 ones and kinda tried it as a joke. i couldnt believe they fit. no mi wish i would have put the glowing ones in the gamepad lol

first off i would like to say.....this is my spare gamepad. i originally got it because i wanted to try to make a portable ouya from it.

but anyways, the handy thing about these joysticks is that they are in there like russian nesting dolls. its immediately obvious where each piece goes. but once you get the back off everything is mounted to the front face of the gamepad. to get to the joysticks there is the bigger white housing.

this covers the joystick's board, but also the d-pad (left side) and the ABXY buttons (right side)

the final little board is what holds our joys. 2 triwing screams and it is all yours.

the joy stick itself is literally held on by nothing

if i remember correctly i think that the ds4 joys had a ever so slightly different shape to the hole that holds into place. but none the less it work flawlessly.
i hope that this helps anybody thinking of doing something similiar. one thing about a ds4 controller is they have TONS of cool and original joys all the time that you can use to customize you gamepad.
