So, my intention to release something exactly on Christmas is clearly not going to happen. I already knew it would be quite a stretch to get all the relevant stuff done by tomorrow, whence the warning that it was merely an intention.
Still, I'm steadily working on all that's necessary for a proper release and I will be spending the first month of the next year doing maintenance and giving support related to the exploit.
By the way, this doesn't mean it won't happen at all, I'm just giving an heads up so no one gets their hopes high for a Christmas eve release. Next week or so is a more plausible release date.

No worries, keep up the good work, the intention to make things ready up to the latest firmware is already super generous, few days delay is nothing ;).

I still hope you can finish it for tomorrow. Would love to play all party games with the whole family!
As it was stated having iosu tomorow wont do you any good at all, someone need to either port loadiine to iosu mode or make an all news iosu backup loader so yeah if it was released tomorow it wouldnt do you any good still.

I guess we all knew, it would be hard to be a xmas release. It is done when it's done. So thanks for your work.

What exactly is holding you back? Bug -fixing? getting an Webexploit for 5.4.0 and 5.5.0? Porting apps to the IOSU? Just a curious man.

By all means, take your time and don't rush the final product. I wouldn't risk the possibility of getting a bricked console in return for a unpolished IOSU :P

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
