You can use 30awg. When i did all work i have only 28awg - normal but tiny - better

look for bcp wrapping wire .if you want to go cheap you can recover old wires from old electrical stuff or use on old cat5 utp cable to recover the wires(very smal)
any electronics shop should have them.you can buy the per 0.5m or something similar

think so outerdia 0.8mm inner dia 0.255mm. you should also use some flux if you have some
