Okay,

So I downloaded Super Mario All Stars PAL [scrubbed version]. Burnt it on a dvd+RW [wii loads any types of disc] and it's telling me to do a system update. Do I do this or not? I'm scared that if I do it, the wii will no longer work.

Like a few days ago, I did a system update on a DS and my r4 card got blocked.

But however, I have done a system update [before the DS incident] when I downloaded and burnt wii party game and that worked plus the other games I got.

I googled up and I see nothing as I don't know what version it will be updated if I do update... All I see is that homebrew channel has removed or something? Which I don't really know what that is to be honest. And also softmod or something, I'm not quite sure what this means too.

Anyways, my wii version is 4.3E and plays PAL version.

Thanks.

the basic rule in my opinion is:

NEVER EVER DO A NINTENDO UPDATE

if you want to update, do this with one of many good guides we have here in GBATemp..

About super mario all stars, Better find a solution than take a risky to update... If you want to play NOW, try a Snes emulator...

Dont need to be rude, if somebody break the rules, just report to administrator...
