Hacking Wii System Menu dissapeared!

i was doing the dumb question i asked you if you have a pal console i would advise you to go the preloader 29 forum & ask in there somebody might make you an offset for recovery mode it is implemented in 29 if not all i can tell you is you might have to send it back but before you do ask in that thread if preloader 29 is compatible with 3.2 cant hurt to try stuff before you send it back

here's what you need to do... follow these directions VERY CAREFULLY!

first, download WADManager 1.3

rename it to BOOT.DOL

place it on the ROOT of your SD card.

Download a SystemMenu WAD... dont ask where to download it, no one will be allowed to help you... google is your friend! make sure you get the CORRECT REGION! U = North America (USA/Mexico/Canada), E = Euorpe, J = Japan, K = Korea

Place your SystemMenu.WAD in a folder on your SD card called WADS

place your SD card in your Wii.

Turn on your Wii.

On the Preloader menu, select LOAD/INSTALL file, then LOAD BOOT.DOL

WADManager will start up. Select the SystemMenu.WAD file to install, and install that bitch!

cross your fingers, toes, and find a friend to cross dicks for good luck, and PRAY TO EVERY GOD YOU CAN THINK OF!

When the WAD is installed, reboot your Wii, and you SHOULD have your system menu back. if not, it's off to Ninty!

Haha, the same thing happened to me like 3 weeks ago and I panicked but don't worry dude it's fixable thank God you installed preloader!! AnyRegionChanger won't work for you since you don't have any connection established and cannot get access to set one up.

All you have to do is recopy the entire SoftMii package to your SD card and find a SystemMenuHackedv289.wad (sorry but you gotta find that on your own). Put the found system menu file into your WAD folder on the SD card and then run it from the HBC > Wad Manager

It'll install and you'll have your system menu again, then just install cISOcorp to get backall the IOSes and you're Wii will be back to normal.

I did the same thing and it worked for me.

I'm confused, because I install the wadmanager1.3 boot.dol file and it says install successful. Afterwards, nothing happens, so I press 1 to load it and I just get a code dump.

I guess I'm shipping it off?

Yes we did the same thing. I was able to reinstall my HBC, don't remember how though.

EDIT: And no you can find a prehacked one and since you're PAL yes you'll need 290

More than likely would have been best to use CIOS Downloader, than just to install the system menu wad, but since you dont have internet it still should have fix ya,

i guess now the only option would be to try savemiifrii, recovery menu, which it may not work but worth a try, or send it to BIGN

SAME THING HAPPEND TO ME and no thanks to this board I was able to recover.

The System-Menu289.WAD I got I had to extract using WiiScrubber and finding Common-Key.Bin

read up on this.

Since you have A PAL WII, make sure you get the PAL SYSTEM-MENU289.WAD

In Preloader you should be able to install the HBC, if not at least run WAD MANAGER. Try installing HBC and then loading HBC wad manager 1.3

install the system-menu PAL 289.WAD that u created / obtained from extracting wii-disc. using WiiScrubber... read tutorials on how to do this.

U should be alright.

in SETTINGS ur suppose to specify you want to BOOT from HBC. not system-menu or preloader....

here is the recovery disc for 290 System Menu ... use Wii Scrubber and place common key.bin in same folder to extract the wad. install the wad thru WAD MANAGER once u've loaded HBC (from settings in Preloader) ...

All I get now is a black screen, no reloader, no errors, no warning, nothing.
