i just tried a regular dvd and it did work. nintendo's discs and dvds are pretty much the same size, and if/when wii hacking is possible, blank dvd-rs are most likely the only way to burn ISOs

Does anyone honestly believe there is any possibility of this being real? When there is a TRUE breakthrough in the backup of Wii discs, you will know about it and there will be NO DOUBT!!!

I want to know where he found the NFO as well. I doubt it's real, but it is possible that something as simple as a software crack applied to an ISO will make copied games playable. I doubt that though, with Nintendo's track record. XBOX360 had a hack quick enough, I'm sure the PS3 will have a full hack shortly (if they don't already) ... but it took long enough for the Gamecube to get one.

I don't think I'd risk modding my Wii though, making it the only console/handheld I own that I haven't tweaked somehow.
