After the pleasant conversation from another post, I need some clarification:

1. The Boot Launcher is always better than the mod chip
2. The Boot Launcher files can be gotten from a PC using the Internet; not just a Twilight Hack

What boot launcher?
Never heard of it

Me too...maybe the follower from Demodulator X4700wY?

Anyways, for question 1:

1) Modchip is ALWAYS THE BEST SOLUTION!!! NOTHING CAN BEAT IT!!!

I don't understand question 2...

So, basicly...one of the most stupid Topics I've seen the last months...we don't even know what he wants...

O.K. sorry about the stupid questions, now it seems that I got my crap together. BL stood for the Backup launcher, not the Boot Launcher. Again, sorry.

Now, in question two, I mean to ask that if I want to use the Backup Launcher, do I absolutely have to go through the Homebrew Channel to get it, or can I just use the files that tj_cool linked at http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=139660 ?

Wel... in theory, you CAN install the Backup Loader without the homebrew channel, but it's a long and boring process, and since almost no one does it that way you won't get much help if you get stuck. Just install the Homebrew Channel, it makes things easier; if you don't like it, you can just delete it after you're done
