Hello, I have a problem here, I can't access any files on a SD card from my Wii. But I Can access them normally From a computer Or a Phone.
I Use WiiXplorer To view the sdcards and they're just empty.
Also, I can't load any channels saved on the sd card. It just says "This channel cannot be loaded on this console" or something like that.
Is something wrong with the software? If so then How do you actually format a wii , not using the Format console option in the Wii settings menu cause I heard all it does is just reset the preferences and channels.
Or is my Sd card slot itself damaged?
Please help.

What is the SD card formatted as? If it is fat32 then it's just a sd that's not compatible with the wii for some reason. Formatting doesn't do anything but erase all data and saves.

No, It is compatible. I use it to play GC isos with Nintendont and DIOS MIOS. It started acting up when Something wrong happened with Nintendont, It started normally then crashed at the main menu then this happened.

But it seems to be functioning normally with a WBFS Sdcard. Loading games using Usb loader CFG.

Well while it's still working in the computer, copy all you can off of it to back it up.

Formatting the SD card can be done in windows using fat32 gui format tools, or within windows itself using the default format utility (default one only works for cards 32GB and lower).

Formatting the wii removes license files and account required to play games installed and all currently installed games on the nand go away and games on the sd card are unlinked and will no longer load.

Things to keep in mind:
SD card could be going bad: could test it with a tool like H2testw (if it bad or going bad your backup may also be corrupted and not useful)
I've had files get corrupted on sd card and make it so some channels don't load. Had to re-download them from the wii shop before they would work again.
If you modded the wii; the mod may have gotten messed up or your nand on the wii could be going bad too. If you have a backup, you could try restoring it, but you lose whatever you had done since the backup. You could also try using modmii to reapply the mods.

I did backup my NAND using Bootmii.
It's still not working.
Maybe the channels won't load because they weren't there at the backup point?
Some channels were there at the backup point and some were not. the ones which were do work.

I scanned the Sdcard using SMADAV.
Turns out it was a fucking virus.
(Copy of shortcut, RECYCLER, Autorun.)
Formatted the Sdcard.
Question is, Do I have to format the Wii now?
Or is there a Wii Antivirus?

Uh, a Wii works completely differently to a PC, so it is impossible to get a PC virus on a Wii. So don't bother formatting the Wii. It's amazing how the a (PC!) virus was stopping the sd from working, must be a good one...
