hi all i am a wii newbie and just want to make sure i have the right steps down to hack my wii.
ok first i should do the TP hack.
then i should downgrade from the 3.3U i have to 3.2U.
then i should install the starfall on my 3.2U
then i can install the backup loader and other homebrew right?
and also is it better to use dvd-r over dvd+r? and which dvd-r brand is best i have sony

you can load the backup launcher on 3.3 but its best to downgrade to 3.2 for future safety

tp hack first
downgrade to 3.2 using anyregionchanger
install starfall
install backup loader + cios rev 7 + any homebrew apps you want
use dvd-r
i personally using Verbatim DVD-R's (aint had one fail yet)
job done

you have done your homework and are on the right track. the recommended media are verbatim dvd-r and burn those iso's with imgburn. also, before you can use the backup loader successfully you must run the cios rev7. just read the readme included in the backuploader, itll have the exact file you need. know the power of google.com.

Just follow the guide.

For people like you, you shouldn't know why, you should know HOW. And EoC tells you how, not why.
